As Creative Director of The Steve Harvey Show, my main goal everyday was to ensure the look and feel of our show is not only on brand, but also on trend. We typically do five major set changes each season for special events including Love Month, Mother’s Day, Summer Week, Halloween, and Holidays.
As a team, we consistently update the set decor to make every show unique. Each day, we meet with producers and their teams to agree upon and implement visual enhancements, which can be as simple as an oversize check printed for a guest or an entire kitchen decorated for a fun segment with a celebrity, like Martha Stewart.
At the end of the day, if the show doesn’t look good we don’t look good.
