Kevin is a visionary interior and commercial designer who works with high end clients including Steve Harvey, Kelly Clarkson and royals to name a few.

A native of Chicago, where culture, climate and geography collide, Kevin’s unique design sense seamlessly blends his love of color, fashion and pop culture. Mesmerized by Bob Vila’s This Old House as a boy, Kevin has always had a passion for transforming spaces. His early work, bridging both fashion and design, was seen by millions peering into Marshall Field’s iconic State Street windows.

Life suddenly changed for Kevin when he was cast on HGTV’s Design Star, Season 6 giving him a national and international stage on which to share his distinct vision. Because of the incredible support he received for his appearance, Kevin launched his brand, Kevin Grace Design, in 2011. The phenomenal success in both retail and residential design that followed are the result of his core mantra:

“Always be aware of your client’s needs, but never be afraid to push comfort zones and open doors to fresh ideas. Ultimately, stay true to your design soul.”

Through the notoriety and success of his business, Kevin has used his skills to benefit Make A Wish Foundation, Illinois Eye Bank, Between Friends, Redmoon Theater, Concern Worldwide, and various other charitable organizations. His past Chicago based segments on ABC’s Windy City Live, “Kevin Grace, Save my Space”, were the ultimate expression of his way of giving back to those in need.

Kevin recently left his post as Creative Director and 4 time Emmy nominee for The Kelly Clarkson Show and is currently focused on his true passion, Interior Design, through his company “Kevin Grace Design” as well as preparing to launch “GraceHomeStudio” through Instagram with custom curated products and accessories for the home.

In 2011 I was a design contestant on HGTV’s Design Star Season 6.  It was an amazing experience that included many videos like the one below.  There’s more information and images on my HGTV page.
