About

I started my career in the early 90′s at Marshall Fields in Chicago on State Street as a Window designer.  It was such an amazing opportunity for a young designer to have the power to create window displays that  everyone would come to see and hopefully talk about.  I truly feel that this first job really set me up for my future careers based on time frames and budgets.  I learned that you can create something so beautiful and compelling and not spend a fortune.

Because of my success at Fields, I was able to move into a Visual Merchandising position for little known company called “J Crew”.  It was there that I found I loved not only the creative visual side of the job, but also the merchandising end of it.  Both of these early adventures lead me over the last 20 years to lead in a Merchandising Manager/Director role for such Global Brands as The Limited,Ann Taylor LOFT, Club Monaco and Saks Fifth Ave.

Although Visual Merchandising has been my career,  I have always found time to pursue my passion which is Interior Design and Design Consultation.  I get so much satisfaction out of helping my friends and family to understand things like furniture flow/placement, scale, color pallet and accessorizing.  Walking away from a finished space is a complete joy for me.

This is why after so many years as a Merchandiser, I have decided to follow what I am truly passionate about and focus completely on Design. I want to have the same feeling of joy everyday that I was only finding before on occasional weekend projects for friends.  My goal is to help you find the same “Passion” and “joy in your own space and lives.
